Flux Mobility on Swiss roads

December 20, 2022 – Flux Mobility delivers electric commercial vehicles to the two cities of Bern and Basel. An electric single cab with a box body was handed over to the city of Bern. There, the emission-free vehicle now collects recyclable waste every day. In contrast, an electric panel van was delivered to the Basel civil engineering office after a test phase – and further deliveries are pending.
After the first public presentation of the electric transporters in April 2022, electric commercial vehicles from Flux Mobility are already on the road in Switzerland. The first deliveries took place at the beginning of October and further deliveries are pending. In addition, Flux Mobility is already working on the next generation of vehicles, which is characterized above all by an optimized battery and an electric all-wheel drive.

"The power is there from the start, the vehicle pulls away powerfully immediately. It is also very pleasant and quiet to drive, and I get a lot of positive feedback from my customers."
The first deliveries began in early October. One of the first customers to receive a vehicle was the city of Bern. They were presented with a white single cab with a box body. This emission-free vehicle is used in the federal city for a sustainable service: as an EcoInfoMobile, it collects recyclable waste daily in various Bernese districts. The city's residents can conveniently dispose of waste such as metals, electrical appliances and bulky waste at the EcoInfoMobile stops and receive competent advice on disposal issues.
The Basel Civil Engineering Office, with its diverse range of applications, tested the electric vehicles in November. During this phase, the vehicles were exposed to a wide variety of conditions. They were either loaded to the load limit or with different trailer loads for as long as it took to gain valuable insights. The vehicles achieved a range of 300 km with consumption values of 23 kWh / 100km.
At the beginning of December, the test phase was successfully completed and a vehicle was officially delivered to the Basel Civil Engineering Office. The emission-free vehicle is now used for various tasks such as road maintenance, toilet maintenance, waste collection, sewer maintenance and winter services.
