December 20,2022 - Flux Mobility delivers electric commercial vehicles to the cities of Bern and Basel. An electric single cab with a box body was handed over to the city of Bern. The emission-free vehicle now collects recyclable waste there every day. Following a test phase, an electric panel van was delivered to Basel's civil engineering department - and further deliveries are in the pipeline.
Following the first public presentation of the e-transporters in April 2022, electric commercial vehicles from Flux Mobility are now already on Swiss roads. The first deliveries took place at the beginning of October and more are on the way. Flux Mobility is also already working on the next generation of vehicles, which will feature an optimized battery and electric all-wheel drive.
Lucio Attanasio, ÖkoInfoMobil driver in Berne:
"Right from the start, the power is there, the vehicle immediately pulls away powerfully. It is also very pleasant and quiet to drive, and I get a lot of positive feedback from my customers"
The first deliveries began at the beginning of October. One of the first customers to receive a vehicle was the city of Berne. It was handed over a white single cab with a box body. This emission-free vehicle will be used for a sustainable service in the federal city: as the ÖkoInfoMobil, it will collect recyclable waste from various districts in Bern on a daily basis. City residents can conveniently dispose of waste such as metals, electrical appliances and small bulky items at the ÖkoInfoMobil stops and receive expert advice on waste disposal issues.
The Basel Civil Engineering Office, with its wide range of applications, tested the electric vehicles in November. During this phase, the vehicles were subjected to a wide variety of conditions. They were either loaded to the limit or loaded with different trailer loads until valuable insights could be gained. The vehicles achieved a range of 300 km with consumption values of 23 kWh / 100 km.
The test phase was then successfully completed at the beginning of December and a vehicle was officially delivered to the Basel Civil Engineering Office. The emission-free vehicle is now being used for various tasks such as road maintenance, toilet maintenance, refuse collection, sewer maintenance and winter road clearance.
