New electric motor from a strong partnership:
Winterthur, October 2 - After 18 months of intensive development work under the leadership of Traktionssysteme Austria (TSA) with Robert Tencl (Managing Director TSA) Peter Spuhler (Chairman of the Board PCS Holding), Stefan Meier (Chairman of the Board Flux) and Duga Hoti (Co-founder and Managing Director Flux), TSA and Flux Mobility inaugurate the first jointly developed electric motor for Flux Mobility's zero-emission commercial vehicles. The drive specially developed for these vehicles was ceremoniously presented today by Peter Spuhler. The collaboration heralds a new milestone in the electrification of light commercial vehicles.
Flux Mobility's mission is to develop zero-emission commercial vehicles for simple and flexible use. The partnership with TSA has made it possible to implement a new drive solution that enables the efficient electrification of light commercial vehicles. The collaboration benefits from TSA's more than 60 years of experience in the integration of drives for rail vehicles. TSA's permanent magnet electric motors are now also suitable for driving light commercial vehicles.
Thanks to the joint work, a flexible and powerful drive solution was brought to market. The TMPW 25A-26-8 electric motor from TSA ensures highly efficient operation of the vehicles with minimal power losses. With an efficiency of over 95% in the drive train, the motor offers an impressive peak torque of 1,200 Nm and a peak output of 220 kW. In the course of the development work, an electromagnetic design of the winding was also introduced, which allows the motor to operate with particularly low noise and vibration levels. These values enable our vehicles to guarantee maximum efficiency and maximum driving comfort even under demanding conditions.

Another new feature is that the inverter is now part of the scope of delivery. TSA now has a complete LD Powertrain product on offer. This drive solution offers a genuine alternative to existing systems and delivers improved performance. The great success of the project is largely due to the excellent teamwork and close cooperation with Flux Mobility," says Marius Kohnle, Head of the ROAD business unit at TSA.
Flux Mobility's electric commercial vehicles can save up to 7 times as much CO2 as a diesel vehicle. The vehicles are available as panel vans with single or double cabs as well as with optional all-wheel drive. Flux Mobility offers individualized solutions that are tailored to the specific requirements of customers, whether for municipal authorities such as the police or emergency services or for companies in the construction and logistics sector.
